What is Botox?
Botox, or Botulinum toxin A, is a purified protein produced by the bacteria clostridium botulinum.How does Botox work?
When a small dose of Botox is injected into specific muscles (by a trained expert in dermatology), their excessive contraction is prevented. This also prevents the formation of new wrinkles and smooths the old ones. The typical patient for this procedure is between 30 and 70 years of age.
